About this course
The early British & Scottish tea planters had the enthusiasm to make a golf course on literally the top of the world in Kerala – at Kundale in 1895. At an altitude of 7000 feet surrounded by Tea gardens & forests, with gurgling streams running along the course this is a course which seems like it is set in paradise. A round of golf here will be interrupted by the frequent chirping & calls of birds & other wildlife in the jungle around.
Don’t be surprised if you spot deer & other wildlife in & around the course. Owned by the Tata group this beautiful 9 hole course opens up during the monsoon as an alternative to the Hi -Range course in Munnar. Even though they are just 1 hr by road apart, the monsoon patterns here are slightly different, allowing for golf to be played here while the Hi-Range club is unplayable.
This is a private course with no affiliations & during the season ( typically May to Oct ) you can play on this course if you are a IGU member. If not you need to take special permission from the secretary of the course. The course has a very compact clubhouse that serves the basic food & snacks during the season.Drinks / juices have to be carried along & they are then served there.
